Housing
The development will incorporate a broad mix of housing from two bedroom properties through to larger, family homes. There will also be an appropriate number of homes allocated for affordable housing, which will be managed by a Housing Association.
The Council’s requirements are for 30% of the total number of units on this site to be ‘affordable’. This means that some homes will be for rent and that some units will also be available on a shared ownership basis. Discussions are on-going with the Council and other bodies to determine the exact numbers and mix but details will be included in the outline planning application. These will meet an identified need for affordable housing within the Borough, which has a high demand for 2 and 3 bedroom and family rented accommodation. The objective is to create a vibrant community incorporating a mix of housing styles to match the variety and quality of that which already exists in West Bridgford and Edwalton.
